Knowledge Bank, the UK’s leading provider of mortgage criteria search technology, is delighted to announce the appointment of Julie Bourne as its new Criteria and Partnerships Manager.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in the mortgage and lending sector, Bourne joins Knowledge Bank from Ecology Building Society, where she most recently held the role of Mortgage Sales Manager. Her deep understanding of intermediary relationships, combined with a long-standing passion for criteria, makes her a perfect fit for this pivotal role.
At Knowledge Bank, Julie will work alongside CEO Nicola Firth, Sales Director Shane Chawatama and his team to help evolve and expand the platform’s industry-leading criteria database—currently featuring over 165,000 pieces across seven lending types. Her role will focus on helping lenders maximise the platform’s potential by ensuring their criteria remain accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. Julie will also play a key part in supporting brokers, equipping them with the tools and insights needed to stay ahead in an ever-evolving market.
Julie will also play a central role in building and nurturing relationships with brokers, understanding their challenges, and ensuring they are fully supported in using tools such as Knowledge Bank’s Notify to engage with lenders on new business enquiries in a faster and more efficient way. Notify has established a strong presence and loyal user base on Knowledge Bank, and the company remains focused on building on this momentum to further expand its reach and impact.
Julie commented - “I’m delighted to join Knowledge Bank and looking forward to this new chapter in my career. I remember many years ago seeing a very early demo and immediately recognising its potential to transform our industry. Having spent over 20 years in the sector - and filled out my fair share of criteria spreadsheets - I truly understand the value Knowledge Bank delivers to brokers, lenders, and ultimately customers. I’m looking forward to getting started and contributing to the continued innovation here. There are many exciting things to come from us so watch this space!”
CEO Nicola Firth added: “Julie’s appointment brings significant strength to our team. Her industry insight, energy, and expertise will be instrumental as we continue advancing our mission to equip brokers and lenders with exceptional tools and outcomes.
At Knowledge Bank, our focus on criteria is something we take seriously - it’s what drives our innovation and commitment to the market. Julie’s appointment strengthens that focus even further. With her extensive experience and understanding of the sector, we’re confident this will further solidify our position as the most comprehensive and trusted criteria system available to brokers and lenders.”
Julie’s appointment reflects Knowledge Bank’s ongoing dedication to strengthening collaboration, enhancing service, and delivering tangible value - ensuring that lenders, brokers, and their technology partners are served by the most extensive and dynamic criteria system in the market.
